THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity exists for a Registered Surveyor (Land) to join a growing surveying team. You will play a key role in cadastral and construction surveying, providing accurate field measurements, mapping, and supporting project design and construction.

Duties

• Conduct field surveys to measure and map land features, boundaries, and structures
• Operate and maintain survey equipment, including GPS, total stations, and data collectors
• Analyze survey data and prepare detailed reports, maps, and drawings
• Interpret Deposited Plans (DP), Land Titles, and 88B instruments
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project managers on design and construction projects
• Perform calculations related to elevation, distance, and angles
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal surveying regulations
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of survey data
• Assist with CAD drafting and GIS mapping as required
• Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures while in the field

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics Engineering, or TAFE equivalent
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Licensed Surveyor) and professional memberships (e.g., SSSI)
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in cadastral or construction surveying
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
