Manager Business Assurance
Manager Business Assurance required by NSW Government Department in Wollongong. ASAP start until 22/02/2026 + possible extensions. Pay rate: $57.25 per hour + super.
Key accountabilities:

• Manage contractor engagement, including procuring services, monitoring quality of service delivery and investigating and managing serious issues and complaints to ensure contractor service delivery is high quality and meets contract and legal obligations as well as stakeholder expectations.
• Supervise the records management process and compliance procedures, continually monitoring for opportunities to enhance record documentation and response to work, stakeholder and subpoena requests to ensure the department continues to implement best-practice strategies and exceeds stakeholder expectations.
• Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the organisation, supporting business continuity processes, actioning legal and liability enquiries and escalating to the Leader, IT & Business Assurance as necessary.
• Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Manage the business assurance team, providing direction, motivation, and professional development and providing leadership to the team members through promoting a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.

Selection criteria:

• Relevant tertiary-level qualifications
• A current Working with Children Check for paid employment (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
• Ability to manage a large volume of work with limited resources
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to manage competing priorities
• Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal formats
