Provide high-level administrative support to the First Nation Teacher Education Hub at Charles Darwin University (CDU)

About the Position
As a Project Officer, you will be integral to the operational efficiency and success of the First Nation Teacher Education Hub. You will support the administration, finance, project management, logistics coordination and stakeholder engagement within the First Nation Teacher Education Hub and will ensure the smooth execution of projects and events, financial accountability, and the promotion of the Hub’s initiatives across the university and external partners.

About You
To be successful, you will require:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business administration, project management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in financial systems, including budgeting, transactions, reporting, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, with expertise in planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, competing priorities, and timelines effectively while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including core applications and collaboration tools like Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, to enhance productivity, communication, and workflow management.
  • Experience coordinating travel and logistics, particularly for remote or culturally sensitive events.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal CDU teams, First Nation communities, and external partners.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build strong professional relationships across the university.
  • Cultural competency and demonstrated understanding of working with First Nation communities.

Appointment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory National Criminal History check and the ability to travel to regional and remote locations.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Level 6. The base salary will be in the range of $89,487 to $95,375per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $104,699 to $111,588 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
