About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and reliable Support Worker or Nurse who is fluent in English to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care and support to clients in accordance with their individual care plans, ensuring dignity, safety, and wellbeing at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer medications via PEG feeding as prescribed.

Perform basic wound care, including cleaning the PEG site and identifying signs of potential infection.

Assist clients with self-care activities such as showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting, promoting independence where possible.

Safely operate and assist with the use of hoists and other mobility equipment.

Observe, record, and report any changes in client health or wellbeing to the supervising nurse or relevant healthcare professional.

Maintain accurate documentation and follow established policies and procedures.

Communicate effectively and respectfully with clients, families, and the care team.

Essential Requirements:

Fluency in English, both written and verbal.

Experience in administering medications via PEG.

Proficiency in using hoists and other manual handling equipment.

Confidence in assisting with personal care activities.

Basic wound care knowledge, including infection detection.

Current First Aid and CPR certification.

Valid Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).

NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).

Desirable Attributes:

Degree or Diploma in Nursing (or equivalent qualification).

Empathetic, patient, and adaptable approach to care.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Previous experience within the disability, aged care, or community care sector.
