About The Role:

A respected and well-established public practice accounting firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team in Perth. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accountant looking for career growth, flexibility, and exposure to a wide range of clients and technical tax matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals, and SMSFs
• Manage a portfolio of SME and high-net-worth clients across various industries
• Provide advice on complex tax matters, including FBT, CGT, Division 7A, and trust distributions
• Conduct tax planning and assist with business structuring
• Review work prepared by junior team members and provide mentoring
• Liaise with the ATO and manage client correspondence
• Assist with audit engagements and compliance obligations where required

About You:

• CA or CPA qualified (or near completion)
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in Australian public practice
• Strong technical knowledge in tax legislation, including FBT, CGT, and Div 7A
• Confident communicator with strong client management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
• Experience with cloud-based accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB, HandiTax)
