About the role

As a Collections Officer at Charter Mercantile Pty Ltd, you will play a vital role in managing the company's accounts receivable process. Based in our Redcliffe, Queensland office, this full-time position will see you working closely with customers to resolve outstanding payments and maintain strong financial relationships.

What you'll be doing

Contacting customers to follow up on late or outstanding payments

Negotiating and arranging suitable payment plans with customers

Documenting all customer interactions and payment arrangements

Identifying and escalating high-risk accounts to management

Providing regular reports on the status of the accounts receivable portfolio

Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

At least 1 years' experience in a collections or accounts receivable role

Experience in both commercial and consumer debt collections

Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with customers

Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping abilities

A solutions-focused approach to problem-solving

A positive, empathetic and professional manner when dealing with customers

Australian citizenship or permanent residency required
