About the Role

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will take ownership of the delivery of civil projects from planning through to completion. You’ll lead and coordinate teams of skilled professionals, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

This role requires a proactive communicator and hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about achieving great outcomes for clients and the community.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all stages of project delivery — scope, budget, program, quality, and safety

Build and maintain strong, collaborative client relationships

Prepare and monitor project budgets, schedules, and forecasts to ensure profitability and performance

Provide weekly and monthly project reporting on progress, revenue, and costs

Manage and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to meet program and quality expectations

Foster a positive, high-performing team culture with a strong focus on safety and accountability

Oversee and implement WHS and environmental management plans on-site

Identify and mitigate risks, variations, and emerging project issues early

Mentor and support engineers and site staff to drive professional growth and success

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline

4+ years’ experience as a Project Manager or Project Engineer in civil construction

Demonstrated success delivering civil infrastructure, subdivisions, roads, drainage, and TfNSW projects

Excellent leadership, mentoring, and communication skills

Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and schedules effectively

Proven ability to build strong client and stakeholder relationships

Sound knowledge of WHS, quality, and environmental management systems

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project) — AutoCAD experience advantageous

Current Australian driver’s licence
