The Role: Lead with Impact on Iconic Projects

Ready to take the reins on dynamic construction sites? We're seeking seasoned Project Manager to drive our projects & blue-collar teams across Hunter Valley projects. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll own day-to-day project operations, hitting timelines while championing safety and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure every deliverable aligns with project specs, engineering standards, and regs—delivering results that exceed expectations.

Collaborate with engineers, and other stakeholders to smash milestones and keep projects on track.

Dive into contracts and specs to craft smart methodologies, staffing plans, and QA packages that wow clients.

Coordinate equipment and materials for seamless delivery, liaising with teams, subs, and suppliers to tackle challenges head-on.

Inspect work in real-time, upholding top-tier workmanship and schedules while fostering a problem-solving mindset.

Support leadership with reports, insights, and best-practice innovations rooted in Australian Standards and ISO 9001.

Maintain constructive relationships with Client representative and other key project stakeholders.

The Project Manager must excel in a high-visibility role, consistently demonstrating professionalism in line with Farrelly Construction Services Pty Ltd standards.

Contract Management, Oversee the administration of contract terms, project documentation, and deliverables to ensure compliance and completion.

Budget and Cost Control, monitor project financials to ensure spending aligns with budgetary constraints and financial goals.

Quality Assurance, ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and specifications as outlined in the contract and ISO9001

Risk Management, Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimise impact on scope, cost, and timeline.

Safety and Compliance Management, ensure all activities comply with safety regulations and organisational policies to maintain a secure work environment.

Team Leadership and Development, Guide and motivate the project team to ensure alignment with project objectives, fostering a productive work environment.

Managing onsite personnel, inductions and skill requirements for projects.

Report on project activities and progress, identify issues, and proactively manage risk to ensure timely and informed decisions.

Implement measures to sustain and improve the performance of your team to deliver effective and efficient work outcomes.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for a proactive leader with:

Current Driver's Licence and OHS White Card (essentials).

Engineering / Business / Construction tertiary qualifications (must-haves).

First Aid Certificate (must-haves).

Project Management Knowledge, Strong grasp of Project Management principles and the ability to apply them across projects of varying sizes.

Budget and Cost Control, Familiarity with budgeting, financial management, and cost-control principles.

Stakeholder Communication, Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site teams.

Contract Management, Strong knowledge of contract terms, compliance requirements, and construction laws.

Risk Management, Experience with risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and problem-solving in a construction context.

S123/G189 & G2 (desirable—we'll help you get site-ready if needed).

10+ years in a similar supervisory role in Mining & Industrial Infrastructure.

Proven track record managing structural, mechanical, and piping installs.

Strong knowledge of industry best practices, Australian Standards, and ISO 9001.

Sharp skills in reading drawings/specs, data entry, MS Office, and client project tools.

Deadline-crushing ability, prioritisation prowess, and a safety-first mindset.

Bonus: Mine site experience to hit the ground running.

Desirable Criteria:

Diploma or Certificate in Leadership and Management, equip managers with advanced skills in team leadership, conflict resolution, and decision-making.

Professional Communication Courses, Advanced communication skills are valuable for effectively liaising with clients, stakeholders, and teams.

Advanced First Aid Certification, Advanced first aid skills beyond basic requirements, including CPR or construction-specific safety training.

Mental Health First Aid Certification, provides skills for identifying, understanding, and responding to signs of mental health issues among team members, fostering a supportive workplace.

Prior to starting, you'll complete a quick Order 43 Medical, drug/alcohol screening, and reference checks—we keep it straightforward to get you on site fast.
