ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Therapeutic use of occupations and activities.

Skill development in self-care, self-management, home management, and community /work /school re-integration

Education and support of individuals and their families and caregivers through collaborative partnerships and family-centered approaches

Modification of environments (e.g., home, work, school, community)

Use of natural contexts for assessment and intervention (i.e. home, school classrooms, work settings, community)

Use of techniques to enhance sensory, perceptual, and cognitive processing and manual therapy technique skills.

Ability to provide some school/preschool services. Travel will be reimbursed.

QUALIFICATIONS: To excel in this role, you should embody warmth, compassion, and the following qualifications and qualities:

Australian Membership with APHRA as a Registered Occupational Therapist.

Working with Children Check.

Desirable experience, particularly with ASD clients; applicants with at least 24 months of clinical experience are preferred, but all applicants are welcome to apply.

NSW Driver's License and access to your vehicle for off-site visits.

Honest, friendly, and reliable with a knack for building rapport with children and their families.

Dedication and a strong work ethic, committed to providing the highest quality service to each client.

A team player with a fun and caring disposition.

The ability to collaborate effectively with other professionals, including Speech Therapists and Psychologists.
