Pay Rate: $35 - $36 per hour
Work Type: Casual - Monday through to Friday (7.5hrs daily)

About the Role:
As a Field Officer, you'll assist in implementing agreed measures to support the eradication of pest threats impacting tomato and related crops. The role involves ongoing testing, surveillance, and monitoring activities to help restore normal production and trade operations.

Key responsibilities include:

Conduct field inspections and monitoring of crops for signs of pest activity

Perform trapping, sampling, and data collection to support surveillance operations

Accurately record and report field findings to supervisors and coordinators

Follow strict biosecurity, hygiene, and safety procedures to prevent cross-contamination

Operate vehicles and equipment safely in accordance with site and program guidelines

Assist with setup and maintenance of monitoring sites and field infrastructure

Collaborate with other field and operational staff to ensure program objectives are achieved

What You'll Need:

Current driver's licence and reliable transport

Good level of physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in varying conditions

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures

Willingness to work as part of a coordinated field-based team

Experience in agriculture, horticulture, environmental science, or field operations is desirable but not essential

• National Police Clearance dated within 12 months
