Randstad are currently partnering with a well known State Government department based in Naracoorte. This opportunity is available immediately for customer service focused individuals with high attention to detail with experience in word processing and data entry and strong record management.

About the role

We are seeking individuals that have excellent customer service skills, who are confident in communication and are effective providing customer and office support in a supportive environment.

The successful candidates will be required to have the following attributes:

  • Providing timely and effective support services to customers and as part of the team.
  • Excellent oral communication skills, including the ability to empathise and negotiate with a diverse range of callers under varying conditions.
  • Sound written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity.
  • Follow systems, policies and procedures to support the business and contribution for continuous improvement.
  • Experience in the complete Microsoft Office software.
  • Knowledge of records management.
  • Experience in organising meetings, recording minutes, arranging itineraries, travel and accommodation as well as diary management.
  • Experience in developing and implementing administrative procedures.
  • Ability to provide executive support.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience in the Emergency Services sector.
  • An understanding of the volunteer ethic.
  • Experience in office management and/or administration.
  • Typing speed of 50 wpm


Skills and Experience

  • Well developed ability to communicate effectively, in all aspects of correspondence
  • Knowledge of Emergency Services procedures and programs in South Australia, or the ability to quickly acquire the knowledge
  • Strong ability to research and analyse problems and deliver clear and concise recommendations
  • Ability to set priorities to meet deadlines and identify performance outcomes
  • Strong experience in spreadsheets, databases and word processing software
  • Must have a current National Police Clearance or willing to obtain immediately
