Our client is a major Australian enterprise in the retail space, operating some of the country's largest retail brands who are now investing heavily in independent tech transformation and cybersecurity.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Cybersecurity, this Business Analyst role supports major cybersecurity initiatives. The role works closely with cross-functional teams, system integrators and external vendors across Sydney. You'll translate security requirements into successful, high-impact delivery outcomes.

Key Highlights:

• Location: Sydney (open to profiles in Melbourne)
• Type: 6 month contract
• Rate: $650 - $750 per day

Duties/Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and document cybersecurity requirements using tools like JIRA and Confluence
• Facilitate workshops and manage internal/external stakeholders across functions
• Conduct risk and impact assessments to support security decisions
• Translate complex cybersecurity needs into actionable project deliverables
• Support successful integration of security solutions with vendors and tech partners

Skills and experience

• Minimum 3+ years as a Business Analyst with a focus on cybersecurity or IT security
• Experience with system integrators and third-party service providers
• Skilled in requirement gathering, stakeholder engagement, and project documentation
• Knowledge of agile and waterfall project methodologies
• Strong understanding of security frameworks (e.g. NIST, ISO 27001) and tools
• Relevant qualifications in Computer Science, IT or Cybersecurity; certifications like CBAP, CISA, or CISSP desirable
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical content
