Our client is a large, NSW government department that provides extensive education services

This a critical role to work on a complete revamp of their Leadership Learning Resource Redesign solution - a new enterprise solution to meet the needs of school leaders; aiding them to develop their leadership capabilities to lead their schools

Role Description:

The Technical Business Analyst will carry out reviews and analysis of core Department services, processes and identify changes that lead to business improvements

The role will contribute technical and thought leadership to the development, implementation, integration and ongoing support of the Leadership Learning Resource solution - in order to meet end user requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Elicit technical requirements
• Develop requirements and scope process/systems change proposals and statements
• Contribute to the project activities including: requirements gathering & creation of user stories, data analysis, testing, and data mapping & data transformations
• Create and provide relevant artefacts to manage process in a controlled and governed manner
• Carry out data analysis, mappings and transformations
• Contribute technical and thought leadership to assist other IT teams to document requirements and participate in cross-team process improvement to ensure business applications are effectively integrated
• Prepare test plans and support documentation
• Lead planning workshops and project teams to capture and define technical requirements and data / information specifications
• Contribute to planning processes
• Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings as required
• Provide management with status of projects
• Document data mappings for an integration solution; servicing department crown jewel application data to downstream consumers

Skills and Experience:

• Extensive experience as a Technical Business Analyst in a large complex IT environment
• Proven ability to deliver complex user specifications and/or detailed business requirements
• Experience working on enterprise digital solutions
• Experience in Learning Management System projects an advantage
• Proven understanding of project and systems development lifecycles and project management and business analysis methodologies (e.g. PRINCE 2, CBAP, Agile).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise and deliver results in a fast paced, complex project environment.
• Proven ability to track and report on deliverables.
• Demonstrated strong relationship building skills with the ability to bridge both the business and ICT
