About the Role
WorkPac are seeking an experienced HR Officer to join our client’s team. This role will provide advice and support to leaders and employees on a wide range of HR matters, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures while supporting key people initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in HR administration, recruitment, and employee engagement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide advice and support on HR matters including recruitment, workforce planning, and general HR queries
Manage administrative tasks including employee lifecycle documentation, record keeping, and correspondence
Support end-to-end recruitment processes including job briefs, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding
Administer HRIS and reporting systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance
Coordinate psychometric testing, medicals, and site visits as required
Support HR events such as employee service awards, assessment centres, and onboarding functions
Maintain HR documentation and personnel files in line with retention requirements
Undertake procurement processes and contribute to HR projects across the broader team
Skills and Experience Required
Previous experience in an HR administration or HR officer role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong attention to detail in reporting
Ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
Current QLD Driver’s Licence (Class C - Manual)
Formal qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or Administration
Experience working within a Government Owned Corporation (GOC)
Knowledge or experience in data, systems, and reporting analysis
