Who we are: Barwon Coast cares for 22km of coastline on the southern Bellarine Peninsula and to fund that work, operates 3 caravan parks and a seasonal campground in Ocean Grove, Barwon Heads and Breamlea.
About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated Assets and Projects Officer to join our team, working under the general direction of the Asset and Projects Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in both asset management and project coordination while contributing to the preservation and enhancement of our coastal environment.
Key Responsibilities
Asset Management Support:
Maintain and update our asset management system (Brightly)
Generate asset reports to support finance operations
Ensure accurate data input and comprehensive record keeping
Conduct asset condition inspections as required
Support staff training to enhance data quality in our Asset Management System
Project Management Support:
Assist in delivering diverse projects including new and renewal initiatives
Support permit and approval processes with various authorities
Assist project budget reporting and tracking
Keep stakeholders informed throughout project lifecycles
Collate WHS documentation from contractors
Contribute to developing and implementing our Project Management Framework, including tools and templates
General Duties:
Drive continuous improvement by identifying and recommending process enhancements
Demonstrate workplace values in all interactions
Maintain records in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Support workplace safety and legislative compliance

The ideal candidate will have:
Experience or strong interest in asset management and project coordination
Excellent attention to detail and data management skills
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
Ability to work collaboratively and support team members
Commitment to continuous improvement and quality processes
