We’re seeking a confident and capable Senior Consultant / LAA to oversee asbestos and hazardous materials projects across the property, industrial, and infrastructure sectors. You’ll work closely with clients, contractors, and regulators, managing all aspects of hazardous materials assessments, removals, and clearances.
This is a client-facing, hands-on role that combines technical fieldwork with project delivery, reporting, and mentoring of junior staff.
About the Role
Your work will include:
Managing and conducting asbestos and hazardous materials surveys and registers.
Leading asbestos removal projects and issuing clearance certificates.
Conducting air monitoring and fibre counting in accordance with legislation and best practice.
Providing expert advice on remediation and management strategies.
Assisting clients with WHS compliance and risk management obligations.
Preparing clear, professional reports and communicating findings directly to clients.
Mentoring and supporting graduate and consultant-level staff.
Contributing to continuous improvement, innovation, and quality delivery within the team.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
✔ Current NSW Licensed Asbestos Assessor (LAA) accreditation.
✔ Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in asbestos and hazardous materials consulting.
✔ Sound understanding of relevant WHS regulations, Codes of Practice, and Australian Standards.
✔ Strong technical writing and communication skills.
✔ Proven ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
✔ A proactive, solution-focused mindset and commitment to quality delivery.
✔ Current driver’s licence and valid Australian working rights.
Experience in occupational hygiene or contaminated land assessments will be highly regarded.
