About the Opportunity
Humero are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join a leading organisation in the hospitality industry. This is a permanent opportunity based in Brisbane’s CBD and offers the chance to continue growing your payroll career.

About the Role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of payroll services for a diverse and fast-paced workforce. You’ll be working in a collaborative team environment where accuracy, compliance and service are key to supporting business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end payroll processing for a multi-site workforce.
• Ensure compliance with awards, EBAs and relevant legislation.
• Process superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax and other statutory obligations.
• Maintain employee records and respond to payroll-related queries.
• Prepare payroll reports and assist with reconciliations.
• Contribute to process improvements and support system enhancements.

About You

• Strong experience in payroll, ideally within high-volume or multi-site industries.
• Solid understanding of payroll legislation, awards and compliance.
• Proficiency with payroll systems (e.g., Chris21, Micropay or similar).
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
