We have a great opportunity for an experienced and passionate Cook to join our highly regarded not-for-profit 90-bed Residential facility. The role includes providing high quality nutritionally balanced food to residents, menu planning, food preparation, ensuring compliance with OHS and food safety, day-to-day supervision of kitchen staff.

About you

• Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery
• Certificate IV in Patisserie (Desirable)
• Experience in Baking & Pastry (Desirable)
• Strong understanding of food safety standards in Aged Care
• Experience in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen services in Aged Care
• Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, implement, evaluate and revise food service delivery
• A practical understanding of catering and nutrition needs of older adults in residential care
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English
• The ability to lead by example and manage a small team
• Understanding of and ability to support compliance with OH&S and Residential Aged Care Standards
• Familiarity with basic computer programs - Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
• Catering experience in a health service
• Current NDIS screener check
