Grampians Retreat is a school camp and group accommodation facility located at the base of Mt Abrupt on 80 acres of picturesque landscape.

We provide outdoor education to 100's of Victorian and South Australian school students.

We are currently seeking a Cook to join our team.

Regular work during school terms with school holidays off, generally speaking.

Essential Requirements:

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and/ or equivalent experience would be highly regarded but not essential.

Experience working in a commercial cooking environment will be highly regarded.

Demonstrates genuine desire to care for the nutritional needs of young people.

Able to effectively communicate in written and oral English

Ability to plan menus and do ordering, or a willingness to learn.

Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required

Clean and organise kitchen and equipment in adherence to hygiene and food safety regulations.

Food safety qualifications an advantage.

Preserve and store foodstuffs in appropriate temperature-controlled facilities
