As a Policy and Project Officer, in the Governance and Strategy unit you will form part of a collaborative, high-performing governance team focused on enhancing organisational performance, implementing strategic activities, and overseeing change management initiatives to evaluate service quality and efficiency of the NT Police.

Your key responsibilities include, supporting the coordination, development and review of strategic and operational plans, organisational policies and governance documents. This involves conducting research, providing policy advice, preparing briefs and reports, and providing high-quality secretariat support for governance committees.

To be successful you require demonstrated experience preparing and presenting high-level papers and reports, providing secretariat support services to senior committees and conducting in-depth to inform policy decisions. Excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to managing conflicting deadlines and work both independently and within a team environment is essential.

Experience in policy development and a strong understanding of governance in a public sector or policing environment would be well received.
