We are seeking an Insurance Broking Assistant to join our Coffs Harbour office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in general insurance within a respected and well-established local brokerage.

About the Role

Working closely with our brokers, you will play a key role in providing day-to-day administrative and technical support across a broad portfolio of commercial and domestic clients.
Your responsibilities will include:

Updating and maintaining client records within our management systems

Inputting relevant information into insurer platforms and quote systems

Assisting with renewal preparation and obtaining renewal terms from insurers

Supporting brokers with general administrative tasks and client communication

Ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with industry standards

Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided in all internal systems and procedures.

About You

We're looking for an organised and enthusiastic team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and values accuracy and client service.

Key requirements:

Sound knowledge of general insurance products (commercial and domestic lines)

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in general insurance is required

Strong attention to detail and time-management skills

Proficient computer skills and confidence with cloud-based systems

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and take initiative

Australian work rights are required for this position

Qualifications:

Tier 2 General Insurance Broking qualification (or higher) is preferred

Candidates currently undertaking Tier 2 or Tier 1 studies will also be considered
