About the role:

We have an exciting and rewarding support opportunity to share with you located in Malak, Darwin. Our client is a young bubbly female with Down Syndrome who loves shopping, music, movies, reading books.

The client enjoys an active social life.

We are looking for an outgoing person to join our team to support our fun loving and bubbly client. You will be supporting the client for community access. You may need to useing your own car for outings (mileages are paid).

• Tuesday 12.30 - 16.30
• Thursday 12.30 - 16.30

Your key responsibilities:

Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Worker who can undertake the following key responsibilities:

• prompting and guidance around being independent
• Domestic assistance
• Companionship
• Community Access

About you:

To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

• Good Clear English
• Calm temperament
• Good professional bounderies
• Current First aid and CPR
• NDIS Screening Card
• Nationally Accredited Manual handling certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Minimum Certificate 3 in community services/ individual support
• Reliable car
• NT full driving licence
• Comprehensive car insurance

Essential:

• Great communication skills
• Interactive personality
• A caring and supportive nature
• Have knowledge on Down Syndrome
