MARS has partnered with a leading financial services organisation seeking a Payroll Officer for a permanent role. This position will be responsible for processing payroll, providing accurate payroll insights, interpreting policies, and ensuring legislative compliance, delivering high-quality, consistent, and efficient payroll support. Netsuite experience is essential for this position.

The Responsibilities:

• Process monthly payroll for 650 employees.
• Reconcile and process month-end journals, ensuring accurate and timely calculation and payment of payroll liabilities, including PAYG tax, payroll tax, superannuation contributions, and employee deductions.
• Complete end-of-year payroll reconciliations for group tax, payroll tax, and other obligations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Calculate and process termination and severance payments as required.
• Provide support to employees on payroll-related queries, including pay issues, personal detail updates, and use of the self-service portal.
• Stay up to date with legislative changes relating to tax, superannuation, and employment law.

The Requirements:

• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Experience in a hands-on role with high levels of attention to detail.
• Must have experience with and be proficient with MS Excel and Netsuite.
