Airport Hotel Sydney is looking for a responsible and engaging Hotel Duty Manager to join our team on a long-term basis. This is a full time position (37.5 hours per week) with a salary between $70,000 - $80,000.

The successful candidate will enjoy delivering exceptional guest service, be able to manage people effectively and have an eye for accuracy. Reporting to the General Manager, the Duty Manager will be responsible for the following duties:

· Overseeing daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage, and security;

· Providing a high standard of customer service at all times;

· Attending to guests’ phone calls, emails and in-person questions;

· Managing guest arrivals, check-ins, check-outs, and payments in line with hotel standards

· Monitoring and updating occupancy, rates, reservations, and property/revenue management systems

· Supervising staff to deliver consistent and high levels of service;

· Conducting end-of-day financial reconciliations and reports;

· Handling guest feedback and resolving complaints to ensure high levels of satisfaction;

· Regularly assessing and reviewing customer satisfaction and implementing initiatives to improve customer experience;

· Assisting in stock management and ordering for bar and hotel supplies to ensure optimal levels at all times;

· Complying with and overseeing the implementation of hotel policies, occupational health and safety regulations and liquor laws and regulations;

· Offering and promoting hotel and bar products / services to guests; and

· Providing information regarding transport and tourist activities in Sydney and arranging transportation for guests.

The candidate will have:

· Minimum of two years of Hotel management experience (essential);

· A warm, friendly and engaging personality;

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

· A strong desire to deliver quality customer service;

· Ability to work autonomously & as part of a dynamic team;

· Strong initiative and problem-solving and analytical skills;

· Flexibility to work a variety of different shifts / days, including weekends and nights;

· Experience with Guestpoint and / or Siteminder; and

· Spanish language proficiency (advantageous but not essential).
