Your role and responsibilities:
PropertyExpert is looking for a Property Claims Review Team Lead to support the growth of our Australian operations. You’ll play a hands-on role reviewing property damage claims and help shape how we assess scope, pricing, and repair quality. If you enjoy diving into claim files, mentoring others, and building high-performing teams, this is a rare opportunity to lead from the front in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Personally review and validate quotes, scopes, and invoices for accuracy and fairness.
Identify scope discrepancies, pricing errors, and questionable items.
Ensure compliance with Australian building codes and insurer policy terms.
Define and refine expert review procedures tailored for the Australian market.
Recruit, train, and mentor expert reviewers as the business grows.
Track quality and productivity metrics, report insights to senior leadership.
Support knowledge-sharing across the global expert review community.
Represent PX Australia in client meetings and internal leadership forums.
Contribute to innovation projects that enhance accuracy, speed, and transparency in claims.
Requirements:
10+ years’ experience in property claims or building industry (insurer, loss adjuster, builder, or related field)
5+ years reviewing, estimating, or scoping residential or commercial property claims
Experience with estimating tools (e.g. Xactimate, CoreLogic, Buildxact, etc.)
3+ years leading or mentoring property claims-related teams
Strong knowledge of Australian building regulations and insurer practices
Proficient in documentation, Excel, and reporting tools
Relevant industry qualifications (e.g. ANZIIF, Cert IV Loss Adjusting, trade certification) desirable
Must have full Australian work rights and be based in Sydney (hybrid: 3+ days/week in-office)
