Excavator operator - Jenolan Caves Project, NSW

Minecon Recruitment, in partnership with one of Australia's most trusted and experienced Civil contractors, is looking to employ an experienced Excavator operator. We are seeking local Operators to help drive a New South Wales project to a successful completion. This role offers an ongoing and stable position with potential for career progression within the Civil industry.

Project Overview & Scope of Work:

The project involves significant remediation work on the Jenolan Caves Road in the Blue Mountains, NSW. This vital project aims to restore and stabilise key sections of the road that were damaged by recent extreme weather events.

The scope of work for Excavator Operators will primarily involve:

Slope Stabilisation: Working on ground strengthening and erosion control measures.

Earthworks: General excavation, material movement, and site preparation.

Drainage Works: Installation and upgrading of drainage infrastructure.

Pavement Works: Assisting with road base preparation and surfacing.

This is a complex and challenging project requiring skilled operators to contribute to the safe and efficient restoration of this critical regional access route.

Key Benefits & Conditions:

Duration: 3 – 4 months assignment, with potential for ongoing and stable position.

Roster: 9 & 5 (days only).

Project Location: Blue Mountains, NSW.

Rate: $40 - $45 +per hour, with penalties paid after 7.6 hours on weekdays.

Overtime: Time and a half for the first 2 hours on Saturdays, and all remaining hours at double time. All double time paid for Sundays.

Allowances: Daily Travel allowance and Daily Meal allowance paid.

Work Environment: Plenty of overtime available within working roster, positive and safe working environment, and an incredibly beautiful and scenic location to work.

Accommodation: Potential for Accommodation to be provided for the right applicant

Opportunity Requirements:

Current Australian Driver's Licence.

Must Live locally to the Blue Mountains area.

Experience with Civil Construction Projects.

Excavator ticket.
