Hi-Quality Heavy Haulage, a highly reputable privately owned Australian family company, has an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated Finance Manager to join our Heavy Haulage team based in Carole Park QLD.

Our company specialises in heavy transport of oversize and over mass items Australia wide.

Position Overview

Being part of the Heavy Haulage team, We are seeking a Finance Manager to oversee and manage our financial operations, including payroll, financial reporting, P&L Management, creditor/supplier control and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to manage financial systems and processes efficiently.

Key responsibilities:

Preparation of Weekly Payroll (BASS, PAYG, Superannuation) and other associated tasks

Deliver timely and accurate end-of-month (EOM) and end-of-financial-year (EFY) reports

Oversee the accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and reconciliation.

Manage cash flow

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Highly Advantageous

Previous experience as a Finance Manager or Controller in the Transport industry or similar

Previous experience as a Finance Manager or Controller in small business finance or similar

To be successful in this role you will have:

Experience with Xero Accounting Software

Proven experience as a Finance Manager or Financial Controller

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

Technically and analytically minded with attention to details

Experience working in a fast paced environment

The ability to analyse issues and troubleshoot effectively

Ability to work autonomously and with minimal supervision

Ability to work well as part of a team and demonstrate excellent organisational skills

A genuine interest in heavy haulage
