Role Overview
As the Store Manager, you are responsible for delivering store performance, visual merchandinsing, guest experience, team culture and operational excellence. You will work closely with the Retail brand manager to ensure brand standards are upheld and business goals are achieved.
You don’t just manage the store—you build team, inspire culture, and drive retail experiences that reflect the STAX. lifestyle and ethos: Everybody is a STAX. body.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership & Culture
Lead, mentor, and coach team members
Champion STAX.’s brand values, culture, and guest-first service model in every store
Identify talent gaps and lead recruitment efforts to ensure each store is staffed with passionate, capable individuals
Deliver ongoing training, inductions, and upskilling for high-performing team members
Sales & Operational Strategy
Drive sales KPIs including ATV, conversion, and UPT
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly reports to identify wins and action areas for improvement
Manage and forecast wage spend, ensuring alignment with sales targets and budget expectations
Implement systems and procedures to streamline rostering, payroll approvals, and store operations
Visual Merchandising & Launch Execution
Execute VM direction, ensuring alignment with brand identity and launch moments
Work with Retail Brand manager to plan and execute collection launches, pop-ups, and in-store activations
Maintain high visual and housekeeping standards, aligned with the STAX. induction booklet guidelines
Brand & Guest Experience
Uphold STAX.'s guest experience model to ensure consistency and excellence across the network
Drive community engagement in-store by encouraging a “community over customer” approach
Lead social content plan for STAX.’s store Instagram account, ensuring brand and tone of voice are cohesive to the rest of STAX.’s marketing strategy
Key Attributes
Strong leadership experience in a multi-site or national retail role
Exceptional communication and organisational skills
High commercial acumen and confidence in interpreting retail data and KPIs
Passionate about people, product, and delivering standout experiences
Creative thinker with a love for innovation, culture, and connection
