The Role
Reporting to the Multi-Site Store Manager, Sydney, this is an exciting opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in their retail career. If you’re a driven team player with a passion for customer experience and a desire to grow your leadership skills, this role could be your perfect fit.
As our Assistant Store Manager, you’ll work closely with the team to create a positive and inclusive environment, learn the ropes of leadership, and develop your ability to inspire and motivate others. With the Multi-Site Manager not always on site, you’ll have the chance to take ownership, assist in decision making, and put your ideas into action.

Responsibilities
Leadership Support: Assist the Store Manager in leading the team and ensuring all staff meet performance expectations and uphold company standards. Act as the Store Manager in their absence, supporting key decision-making to maintain smooth store operations.
Customer Service Excellence: Deliver exceptional customer service through warm, helpful interactions. Prioritise satisfaction by actively listening, offering tailored solutions, resolving issues professionally, and leading by example
Sales Performance: Support sales growth by using data and insight to guide actions that drive commercial outcomes. Motivate and inspire the team through regular coaching and constructive feedback on sales behaviours, encouraging a performance-driven and customer-first mindset.
Team Development and Collaboration: Support the training, development, and engagement of store staff. Help create a collaborative and supportive environment where team members feel valued, motivated, and empowered to succeed.
Operational Excellence: Assist in the daily management of store operations. Apply strong organisational and time management skills to help prioritise and maintain high operational standards.
Visual Merchandising and Stock Control: Ensure stock levels are optimised and support the execution of visual merchandising plans to create a compelling, shoppable store. Assist with inventory management, including replenishment, stocktakes, and compliance with stock control procedures.
Loss Prevention: Support the implementation of loss prevention strategies by ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures. Stay alert to potential risks and respond to any concerns or incidents promptly and responsibly.
Health and Safety: Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and team members. Follow all health and safety guidelines and promptly report any hazards or incidents to the Store Manager.
About You
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of retail experience, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and coach staff to achieve their best.
Customer Focus: A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of customer needs.
Sales-Oriented: Proven track record of achieving and driving sales targets and a deep understanding of key sales strategies.
Operational Knowledge: Experience in managing daily retail operations, including stock control, visual merchandising, and expense management.
Problem Solving: Ability to resolve customer issues, operational challenges, and staff concerns effectively and efficiently.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with customers, team members and key stakeholders, clearly and professionally.
Organisational Skills: High level of organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Physical Ability: Ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, standing for long periods, and organising stock.
