About the Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to join a dynamic team supporting strategic financial operations within a government housing-focused agency.
As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial reporting, analysis, and business partnering services. You’ll support budgeting, compliance, and performance monitoring across a diverse portfolio, helping ensure financial integrity and strategic alignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management reports, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
• Lead Treasury reporting and commentary via PRIME portal.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and payroll reconciliations.
• Oversee insurance claims, grants, and shared services schedules.
• Provide audit support and ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards.
• Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver financial insights and advice.

About You
You are a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional with strong analytical skills and a collaborative mindset. You thrive in complex environments and are committed to continuous improvement and ethical practice.

Essential Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance, or Economics, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, analysis, and compliance.
• Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and public sector financial frameworks.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across diverse teams.
• Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and culturally sensitive practices.

Desirable Capabilities

• Experience in government or not-for-profit sectors.
• Familiarity with Aboriginal housing programs or community engagement.
• Proficiency in financial systems and reconciliation tools.
