About the Role
We are seeking two (2) APS6 Data Analysts to join a Federal Government department on a 12-month contract. This role will support recruitment and workforce planning through high-quality data analysis, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
You will be responsible for delivering dashboards, benefits reports, and workforce forecasts that guide organisational decision-making. Working under limited direction, you will provide oversight across business analysis functions, manage stakeholder relationships, and contribute to organisational change and transition activities.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality data analysis and reporting, including dashboards, benefits reports, and data visualisations.
Lead and support recruitment and workforce planning activities, including workforce modelling and FTE forecasting by role, time, place, and source.
Undertake stakeholder engagement with internal teams and external consultants to ensure alignment with workforce design priorities.
Provide leadership and oversight for business analysis functions, setting priorities and managing workflows.
Apply data-driven and numerical methods to resolve complex issues, assess risks, and contribute to continuous improvement.
Manage stakeholder relationships and change processes, supporting workforce transition and minimising resistance.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Demonstrated experience as a Data Analyst, ideally with a background in recruitment and workforce planning.
Strong business analysis skills with the ability to manage priorities and workflows.
Proficiency with Power Query (highly desirable).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve complex issues.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
Understanding of disability, health, allied health, or related sectors (desirable).
Benefits

Full-time, Monday to Friday
