We’re seeking a creative and dynamic marketing officer to craft innovative, destination focused campaigns, shining a spotlight on our places, programs, services and activities. In this fast-paced and varied role, you’ll produce compelling digital and print materials, deliver advertising campaigns, and collaborating with our talented internal teams.
The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a positive, can-do attitude. You’ll be comfortable managing multiple campaigns and projects at once, understand how to align with brand guidelines and know how to maximise cross promotional opportunities. Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to;
- Develop, implement and measure innovative marketing campaigns that brand and project objectives, and enhance the City’s brand and reputation and advance destination visibility, using both traditional and digital marketing platforms.
- Communicate regularly with relevant Business Units to understand promotional needs and develop marketing strategies.
- Assist in maintaining a City-wide calendar of marketing and communications activities.
- Liaise with the City’s graphic designers and external suppliers to coordinate the design and production of marketing collateral.
- Produce post-campaign reports that evaluate the results achieved and lessons learned and provide to Business Units.
- Ensure campaigns are delivered on time and on budget.
About you
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, promotion or related field
- Current C Class driver's licence
- Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and measuring marketing campaigns using both traditional and digital platforms.
- Demonstrated experience in collecting, analysing and interpreting marketing data and metrics.
- Demonstrated experience segmenting target audiences, and delivering effective campaigns and appropriate content according to each segments’ unique behaviours, interests and preferred channels
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining positive relationships with both community and internal business partners
- Sound prioritisation and organisational skills to successfully develop, implement and monitor multiple projects to deliver them on time and on budget.
- A satisfactory National Police Certificate is required.

The salary for this position will be from $94,386 to $112,499 per annum, depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
