We're looking for a hands-on, organised Operations Manager to join our fresh fruit and vegetable market and distribution business. This is a key role for someone who loves the hustle of farmers markets, takes pride in quality produce, and enjoys keeping things running smoothly from the floor to the front office.

About the Role

As our Operations Manager, you'll be the owner's eyes and ears at the markets—ensuring everything runs efficiently and customers receive top-quality service. You'll be across all aspects of our daily operations, from managing orders to coordinating deliveries.

Your Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations across market stalls and distribution activities

Maintain strong relationships with wholesale and retail customers

Monitor and uphold produce quality standards

Assist with wholesale invoicing and basic administration

Manage online customer orders and ensure timely fulfillment

Set up daily delivery run sheets and liaise with drivers

Communicate regularly with the business owner on market activity and performance

What We're Looking For

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Strong organisational and time management abilities

A genuine interest in fresh fruit and vegetables

Experience in operations, logistics, or a market environment (preferred)

Minimum 6-12 months experience in operations, logistics, or market environment

Confident working both independently and as part of a small team

Reliable, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative
