🍽️ Core Responsibilities

Planning and preparing meals: Develop menus, select recipes, and prepare dishes that meet customer expectations and dietary requirements.

Cooking techniques: Use various methods such as baking, grilling, frying, and boiling to prepare food efficiently and creatively.

Food presentation: Ensure meals are attractively garnished and plated to enhance customer satisfaction.

Sanitation and safety: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, follow hygiene protocols, and comply with food safety regulations.

🧂 Daily Tasks

Inspecting deliveries: Check the quality and freshness of ingredients upon arrival.

Measuring and mixing: Accurately weigh and combine ingredients according to recipes.

Adjusting recipes: Modify dishes to accommodate allergies, dietary restrictions, or customer preferences.

Cleaning duties: Wash utensils, sanitize workspaces, and manage waste disposal.

Stock management: Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper food storage.

👨‍🍳 Team and Operational Duties

Training staff: Mentor kitchen hands or apprentices in food preparation and safety standards.

Liaising with front-of-house: Communicate with wait staff and management to ensure smooth service and timely meal delivery.

Menu development: Collaborate with chefs or owners to create seasonal or specialty menus.
