We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Leading Hand Carpenter who are looking to expand their skills and further their career in the building industry.

The role:

As a Leading Hand Carpenter, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our job sites, coordinating trades, and hands-on carpentry work.

You will be responsible for overseeing daily tasks to see that projects are delivered on time and on budget and within industry standard.

Job will be fulltime and based across different sites Sydney wide, Monday to Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm

You will be working with our building team within the company and will be working alongside our experienced builder who will assist you in the delivery of projects assigned to you.

About You:

At least 4 years of experience in a similar role or fully qualified Carpenter with 4 years hands on experience.

Must have a current White Card

Current driver’s license

Must have own tools, reliable vehicle, and insurance

Basic computer literacy

Good communication skills

Professional and friendly demeanour when representing our company.

A sound understanding of construction laws and regulations

Experienced in Hardware and Tools

Have a high understanding of general building knowledge and be capable of managing multiple sub-contractors under the guidance and instruction from Project Managers & Builders.

Ability to effectively read and understand building plans

Competent in keeping to timelines and job requirements

It is an advantage that candidates have a First Aid Certification.

Your Responsibilities:

Efficiently managing site labour and ensuring all allocated tasks are completed.

Assisting in the coordination, management, and scheduling of site activities to meet project goals.

You must be able to maintain a safe and productive work site.

Ensuring construction meets NSW building codes, standards, and project specifications.

Managing site safety, WHS compliance, and maintaining high housekeeping standards

Interacting with clients, stakeholders & consultants

Scheduling trades and material orders efficiently

Ensuring quality craftsmanship and attention to detail at every stage

Operating various hand tools, power tools, and site machinery as directed.

Performing a variety of tasks including hands on carpentry work when required on construction sites under direction of the Project Managers & Builders.

Supporting other trades where necessary to ensure project progress.

Solving on-site problems proactively and effectively
