About the Role

As a Leading Hand/Carpenter, you’ll play a vital role in bringing our projects to life. You’ll balance hands-on carpentry/site work with leadership, ensuring each project is delivered to the highest standard.

Key responsibilities include:

Performing quality carpentry work (structural, finishing, fix-outs) and being hands on across the job site where required.

Leading and coordinating a small team of carpenters, labourers and trades

Reading and interpreting plans, drawings, and specifications.

Maintaining safe, clean, and well-organised job sites.

Monitor materials and resource usage, request materials or tools.

Inspect and ensure all work is compliant with building codes, regulations

Liaising with Construction Managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Ensuring workmanship meets building codes, Australian Standards, and SLD’s high quality expectations.

Maintaining a safe work environment with strict compliance to Work Heath and Safety.

About You

We’re seeking someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a team environment.

You will have:

Trade qualification in Carpentry (Certificate III in Carpentry) and currently completing or looking to complete a Certificate IV in Building & Construction.

Proven experience as a Carpenter, with leadership/Leading Hand experience preferred.

Confidence in reading drawings and specifications.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

A focus on safety and quality.

A can- do attitude

White Card and driver’s licence
