Join a high-performing Customer Engagement Technology team delivering a major digital transformation initiative within one of Australia’s largest financial services programs. The team owns and builds the Digital Banker Platform - a modern solution consolidating 15+ legacy systems into one unified, customer-facing platform.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer with a strong frontend focus (around 70–80%) to join a team working on the next-generation Digital Banker platform. The ideal candidate will have experience across React, JavaScript, and Java, and enjoy solving complex technical problems within a large enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain frontend applications using React, JavaScript (ES6+), Redux, and Next.js.
• Build and integrate backend APIs in Java / Node.js to support scalable, secure applications.
• Work closely with cross-functional squads to design and deliver high-quality digital solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, peer reviews, and CI/CD workflows.
• Optimise performance, accessibility, and maintainability across the platform.
• Contribute to a culture of quality through testing, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

Tech Stack

• Frontend: React, JavaScript, Redux, Next.js
• Backend: Java, Node.js
• Tools: Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins/Bamboo, SonarQube, JIRA, Confluence
• Practices: RESTful API integration, CI/CD, Agile delivery

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years’ experience as a Full Stack or Frontend Engineer in enterprise-scale environments.
• Strong proficiency with React and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Working knowledge of Java for API and backend integration.
• Experience building performant, responsive, and accessible web applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Exposure to cloud-based environments and Agile delivery practices.

Desirable

• Experience with test automation frameworks (Jest, Cypress, etc.)
• Knowledge of AWS / GCP / Azure.
• Background in large-scale transformation programs
