Bakery / Café Manager– Maternity Leave Cover

Miller’s Bread Kitchen is an iconic Bakery / Cafe in Dromana

We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual to step into a Bakery / Café Manager position on a maternity leave contract basis.

About the Role:
This is a hands-on role in a busy retail Bakery / Cafe setting.

You will initially start on a part-time basis to receive full training and get familiar with our team, products, and systems. The role will then transition to full-time, including some weekend work.

Key Responsibilities:

· Day-to-day management of the Bakery / Café shop

· Leading and supporting a small team

· Ensuring excellent customer service

· Stock control and ordering

· Opening and closing duties

· Maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards

· Cash handling and basic reporting

Requirements:

· Previous experience in a retail or food service management role is preferred

· Strong communication and leadership skills

· Ability to work weekends and flexible hours

· A positive, can-do attitude and commitment to learning during the part-time training phase

Position Details:

· Part-time initially (training phase): 2-3 days per week 18 hours

· Full-time maternity cover: 38 hours per week including weekends

· Contract Duration: Approx 6-12 months possible ongoing
