About the Role – Prep Lead Educator (Casual)

Mt Crosby State School P&C Association is looking for a dedicated Prep Lead Educator to join our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) team on a casual basis. This position is specifically focused on developing and delivering a high-quality program tailored for Prep-aged children transitioning into school life.

Key Responsibilities

Program Development: Design and implement a rewarding and age-appropriate OSHC program for prep children, in collaboration with families, staff, and the school community.

Curriculum Alignment: Ensure all activities reflect current OSHC frameworks and are developmentally suitable.

Best Practices: Apply and share current research, theories, and policies relevant to early childhood education and care.

Team Leadership: Provide guidance and leadership to childcare staff involved in the Prep program.

Budget Awareness: Plan and deliver the program in accordance with allocated budgets.

What we're looking for

Experience working in an OSHC or similar childcare setting is desired but not essential

Relevant qualifications in childcare, education or a related field desired but not essential

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Demonstrated creativity and initiative in planning activities

Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

First Aid and CPR certification desired but not essential
