About the role

Mt Crosby State School P&C Association is seeking a Vacation Care Lead Educator to join our team on a casual basis. To design and implement the vacation care program and pupil free days. The position is based at our centre in Mt Crosby, 4306.

Vacation Care Lead Educator

Plan and implement an engaging program for all vacation care and student free days. Design and send out vacation care plan to all families.

Develop a working budget for expenditures during above periods.

Liaise with Coordinator regarding expenditure and proposed budgets.

Undertake risk assessments with external providers and external visits.

Lead vacation care periods as the point of contact for all staff, contractors and families regarding activities and planning.

Participate in regular community engagement with families, community, and stakeholders.

Ensure effective evaluation of program is completed with staff, community, and stakeholders after vacation care period.

Communicate with parents via Facebook, text message and email when required.

What we're looking for

Experience working in an OSHC or similar childcare setting is desired but not essential

Relevant qualifications in childcare, education or a related field desired but not essential

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Demonstrated creativity and initiative in planning activities

Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

First Aid and CPR certification desired but not essential
