Your Role in Making a Difference
As the Pool Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that residential pool barriers meet all safety regulations. You will conduct inspections, enforce compliance standards, and work closely with pool owners to promote best practise.
This position offers a unique opportunity to make a real impact in the community while developing your skills in safety. You’ll be supported by an experienced team in a positive and collaborative work environment.
Who We’re Looking For
We are searching for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about pool safety. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive attitude and a strong commitment to community service.
- Tertiary qualifications in swimming pool compliance, building surveying, planning, building, engineering or related discipline or demonstrated relevant experience
- Accredited Swimming Pool Inspector (formerly category E1 Certifier) and/or qualifications in Building Surveying
- Demonstrated experience in environmental health, particularly in pool safety regulations
- Class C Drivers Licence
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to investigate and resolve complaints and requests for information
- Confident in providing clear and detailed compliance reports

- Package: $93,854 - $99,489 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation. In addition an award vehicle allowance of $10,780 gross p.a will be paid.
- Hours of work: Permanent Full Time 35 hours per week. You will have the option of a 19 day month through Council’s flex system.
