A rare opportunity to step into a high-impact compliance role within a leading defence and maritime environment. This full-time position plays a vital part in maintaining the safety, integrity, and quality of Above Water Systems (AWS) in one of Australia's most secure industrial precincts.

Your new role

As the Electrical Compliance Officer, you will:

• Lead and maintain the Electrical Compliance Program across technical sites and installations.
• Oversee Test & Tag operations, ensuring compliance with national standards and workplace safety codes.
• Conduct routine and complex site audits, report findings, and drive corrective actions.
• Support training initiatives, technical guidance, and continuous improvement across teams.
• Apply safe practices in confined spaces, at heights, and in Lock Out/Tag Out environments.

What you'll need to succeed

• Current Australian Electrical Licence, with Qualified Supervisor endorsement.
• 5+ years' experience as a licenced electrician, ideally within the industrial, defence, or maritime sectors.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in electrical compliance or Test & Tag functions.
• Certifications in Confined Space Entry, Working at Heights, Lock Out Tag Out, and NSW White Card.
• Strong reporting, auditing, and documentation skills.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and digital compliance tools.

This position is ideal for a qualified and licenced electrician with strong industrial experience who's looking to step into a specialist compliance role.

Desirable

• Certificate IV in WHS or Frontline Supervision
• Experience in ship repair, maritime, or heavy infrastructure sectors
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and Quality Management Systems
