Become part of a dynamic dental team based within the Wagga Wagga Base Hospital Dental Cluster – part of the Southern and Murrumbidgee Oral Health Clinical Network.

The Oral Health Clinical Network provides dental services to eligible people across multiple sites in community based dental clinics. The clinical team within the MLHD comprises Dental assistants, Dental therapists, Oral Health Therapists, Dentists, Oral Surgeons, and Paediatric specialist dentists. The successful applicant will have a varied role delivering patient care in both Wagga Wagga & Young.

WWBH Dental Clinic is located within the WWBH Health Services Hub. It is a modern clinical environment with 8 Dental chairs (including a specialist surgical/bariatric dental chair), providing both general and specialist dental services. Wagga Wagga hosts final year Dental students and Oral health Therapy students from Charles Sturt University (CSU) for clinical placements. We also have visiting Oral Surgery and Paediatric Specialists, who also support registrars in each speciality.

As well as our Clinical team we also have Visiting Dental Officers and staff who support outreach services and special projects including Aged Care outreach and a CEREC project, Multicultural outreach and the Primary School Mobile Dental Van Program.

This position is eligible to receive the payment of the Dental Officer Rural Incentive Scheme Allowance

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

Tertiary Dental qualification with current AHPRA registration under the Dental Board of Australia.

The ability to work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team.

The ability provide evidence based clinical care to patients, resulting in quality care and a contemporary approach to dental practice and patient care.
