About the Role

Are you caring, empathetic, and passionate about supporting the elderly?

As a Care Staff Member, you’ll play an essential role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents in all aspects of their daily living. You’ll work as part of a supportive and respectful team, ensuring every resident receives care that honours their dignity, independence, and individual preferences.

Your commitment and compassion will directly contribute to creating a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where residents can thrive physically, emotionally, and socially.

What You’ll Bring

Certificate III or IV in Aged Care (or equivalent qualification in individual support or nursing care).

Experience: Previous experience in a similar aged care or healthcare setting.

A caring and patient attitude, with the ability to provide compassionate support to older adults.

Strong communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to build trusting relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.

Understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards, residents’ rights, infection control, and workplace health and safety practices.

Physical capability to safely assist residents with transfers and activities of daily living.

A positive attitude, adaptability, and respect for the Christian values and mission of Adventist Aged Care.

Key Responsibilities

Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) in accordance with individual care plans.

Support residents with compassion, dignity, and respect, fostering independence wherever possible.

Observe, report, and document changes in residents’ health or wellbeing to the Registered Nurse or Supervisor.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents and staff.

Work collaboratively with team members to deliver person-centred care.

Participate in ongoing training and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance care quality.
