We are seeking a motivated and experienced Theatre Bookings Coordinator to join our perioperative team on a permanent full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and manage theatre bookings to optimise utilisation, surgeon availability, and patient needs.
• Schedule elective and emergency cases accurately, resolving any conflicts efficiently.
• Act as the central contact between surgeons, anaesthetists, nursing staff, and administration.
• Communicate clearly with staff, patients, and external providers.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and clinical requirements.
• Maintain accurate booking records and monitor utilisation and cancellations.
• Provide reports to support planning and performance improvement.
• Support patients and families with booking information and escalate concerns promptly.
• Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth operations.
Key Experience:
Previous experience in theatre scheduling, perioperative administration, or hospital booking coordination.
Sound understanding of surgical workflows and clinical scheduling.
Proficiency in hospital information and patient management systems.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising across teams.
High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
Customer service experience within healthcare (desirable).
Knowledge of hospital policies, privacy, and compliance standards (desirable).
