My client is a multi-partner firm with a 50+ year history in the market. They work across a range of services including Tax, Business Advisory, Audit & Assurance, SMSF, and Wealth management.

They are now seeking an enthusiastic Junior to Intermediate Accountant, to join their Business Services Team. This division has 3 Partners and approx. 25 staff in total. In this role you will be building and refining your technical skills, and working in a dynamic environment where your ideas and contributions matter. The team work across a wide variety of clients including family groups, SME’s, and businesses up to $100 million in annual turnover.

This role will be working closely who has been with a Senior Manager who has been with the firm for close to 10 years. He is on the partnership track and is looking for someone with initiative who is eager to learn and grow with him. He is very passionate about the firm and believes they can offer a better environment than many of the larger mid-tiers – with more hands-on training and a much more pleasant and balanced workload.

Key duties include:

Preparing work papers, financial statements, reconciliations, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.

Liaising with clients and the ATO to resolve queries and provide timely support

Providing benchmarking reports and evaluating clients' accounting systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Preparing and lodging BAS and IAS for sole traders, individuals, partnerships, companies, and trusts

The ideal candidate will:

Hold a relevant tertiary qualification

Possess a minimum of 12 months experience in a public practice firm - including experience preparing tax returns for different entities

Be undertaking or looking to commence the CA or CPA program

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
