As we expand, we are seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to spearhead growth, strengthen customer relationships, and open new markets for the Group.
The Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding KFI’s footprint across Queensland and beyond. This role will suit someone with strong networks in mining, heavy industry, oil & gas or civil sectors, who can translate opportunities into long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with KFI Group’s growth plans.
Identify, pursue, and secure new clients and contracts across mining, civil, and industrial sectors.
Strengthen and expand existing client relationships, ensuring a strong share-of-wallet approach.
Collaborate with operations and workshop teams to deliver tailored solutions for clients.
Lead tendering, proposals, and contract negotiations.
Track market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to position KFI as a preferred supplier.
Represent KFI Group at industry events, networking functions, and stakeholder meetings.
About You
We’re looking for someone energetic, strategic, and commercially savvy. Ideally, you will have:
Proven experience in business development, account management, or sales within mining, heavy industry, construction, or related sectors.
Strong network of industry contacts and ability to leverage relationships for growth.
Commercial acumen with experience in preparing tenders, proposals, and negotiating contracts.
Ability to bridge the gap between blue-collar operations and white-collar strategic outcomes.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
A self-starter with the drive to achieve targets and exceed expectations.
