The Role As Program & Practice Manager – Medical Services, you’ll lead the operational and strategic direction of the Medical Program, which includes GPs, specialists, and practice nurses. This is a dynamic role combining service coordination, workforce management, and financial oversight, with a strong focus on the social determinants of health and holistic, multidisciplinary care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide operational and people leadership to the Medical Services team (GPs, nurses, and admin)
- Deliver high-quality, integrated, and sustainable primary care services aligned with community need
- Oversee compliance with accreditation, infection control, and clinical governance standards
- Lead continuous quality improvement through audits, reporting, and feedback systems
- Optimise MBS billing processes and ensure financial sustainability through revenue oversight
- Drive workforce planning, recruitment, and onboarding in line with organisational goals
- Develop and implement operational plans in alignment with NRCH’s strategic priorities
About You

You’ll be able to make sound decisions, motivate and support teams, and build strong relationships with stakeholders and community members. With a strong understanding of the social model of health, you’ll be driven to make a real impact through culturally safe, inclusive and responsive services.
You will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Health Administration/Practice Management or Business
At least 3 years’ experience managing a multidisciplinary or general practice health program/practice - Strong financial acumen, including experience with Medicare billing and funding models
- Leadership experience with a track record of motivating teams and improving service delivery
- A passion for health equity, with a commitment to delivering inclusive care to vulnerable population.
- Knowledge of RACGP standards and government policy impacting primary healthcare
- Experience with Cubiko and Best Practice software or similar
- WWC and Police check - either currently have or willing to obtain
