About the Role

This is a hybrid position that blends interior design with builder administration support. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys variety – from guiding clients through selections and supplier meetings to assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of residential building projects. You’ll be working directly alongside a registered female builder, gaining insight into both the design and construction side of residential projects.

Employment Terms

* Part-time: 2 days per week

* Fixed Term: 6-month contract as a start

Key Responsibilities

* Manage client selections: finishes, fixtures, fittings, lighting, colours, tiles, and more

* Attend supplier meetings in person when needed, and help source products for current and upcoming projects

* Prepare addenda, mood boards, and visual presentations for client approvals

* Support with smaller renovation projects (kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, and internal reconfigurations) where full council documentation isn’t required

* Provide 3D visuals and concept presentations in SketchUp to communicate layouts and finishes

Assist with builder administration tasks, including:

* Managing emails and correspondence

* Issuing purchase orders

* Coordinating supplier and contractor quotes

* Tracking selections and approvals

Ideal Candidate

* Qualification in interior design or interior architecture

* Skilled in SketchUp and comfortable presenting design concepts

* Confident and professional when liaising with both clients and suppliers

* Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple moving parts with attention to detail
