Part-Time Draftsperson – Residential Projects (6 Month Contract)

Location: Perth

Hours: 2–3 days per week (flexible)

Contract:6-month fixed term, with option to extend

About Us: You'll be working directly with Ashleigh – the owner and registered builder.

We focus on providing a standalone service for our clients, delivering full design and documentation to support high-quality residential projects, from new builds through to renovations and extensions.

The Role

We're looking for a part-time Draftsperson to join our team for an initial 6-month term. You'll be working directly with Ashleigh to prepare documentation packages for multiple residential projects.

This is a drafting role — you'll be given clear concepts and scope to work from.

Responsibilities:

Prepare concept, DA/BA, and working drawing sets for residential projects.

Amend drawings based on council, engineering, and client feedback.

Maintain consistent drawing standards, title blocks, and file organisation.

Liaise with consultants (surveyors, engineers, energy assessors) as required.

Deliver accurate, compliant documentation aligned with Australian standards.

Skills & Experience:

Certificate IV in Residential Drafting

Proficiency in AutoCAD LT,or SketchUp Pro (we currently use SketchUp Pro) open to discuss others pending licensing requirements

Understanding of Australian residential drafting standards and local council requirements.

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Clear communicator – able to take direction and translate builder notes/sketches into clean drawings.

Prior residential drafting experience preferred of 1 year but graduates are welcome to apply

Australian work rights are required for this position
